Ann Hotaling, President

Upon joining the Krez Group in 1995 Ann was named to a succession of roles that required her attention to more and more responsibility becoming President of John Caretti in 2001. In this role she oversees all aspects of daily operation with emphasis on the quality of work completed by the John Caretti team.

Ann has been involved with construction for over 25 years. The attention to detail she has carried throughout her career serves well the high end industry of Terrazzo. Ann participates in all aspects of the operation, which includes applying her background in photography to guide customers in the color selection process.

Tom McHugh, Senior Project Manager/Estimator

When Caretti was purchased by the Krez Group in 2000, Tom was promoted to the position of senior project manager/estimator. Prior to that he'd been with the Krez Group as a project manager for Barrier Corporation.

Tom has more than 30 years experience in the construction industry. His background in a variety of construction roles brings a distinct perspective to this unique trade. Tom’s experience ranges from large infrastructure projects to high-end residential, which makes him a vital resource in even the most challenging terrazzo installations. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.

Chad Rakow, Project Manager

Chad joined the John Caretti team in 2004 as a project manager. He comes to us from a family flooring business where he gained experience in a wide array of flooring product lines. Caretti's clients benefit from his experience in handling the details of successful flooring projects, from estimating to installation.

Chad has expanded his role to include cutting edge technologies and services in the Terrazzo and Polished Concrete industry. His extensive knowledge of recent industry developments and product advancements allows us to expand the scope of services we offer our customers.

Carmela Ruiz, Office Manager/In-House Design Assistant

Carmela joined the Krez Group in 1997 as an assistant to the office manager. In 2000 was assigned to Caretti and she was promoted to office manager/in house design assistant with the John Caretti.

With over 15 years experience in the construction industry Carmela is a valuable asset to Caretti's clients. She is familiar with the internal workings of a construction company, and possesses a work ethic that enables to assist Architects and Designers in creating the perfect combination of aggregate size/color, matrix color, and strip dimensions. With Carmela's knowledge and expertise, it is through this process Caretti is able to turn your vision for a beautiful floor into reality.
